La Fermière was then created by François Guinchard in Marseilles. The original purpose of the brand was to offer yogurts of the highest quality on a local scale; a significant innovation on the marketplace.
As soon as the early 60’s our popularity spread, the whole region was seduced by the distinctive quality of the products. Then in the 70’s we sparked off the interest of the food retailing brands.
Following the take-over by the Tarpinian Company in 2002, La Fermière went from a local family business to a medium enterprise. Since then the brand has been creating dairy products of quality prizing a traditional manufacturing method and selecting the best products.
